The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team will host King's in a Freedom Conference semifinal, Wednesday at 4:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.
Misericordia, 8-8, is the second seed after finishing 5-1 in the Freedom during the regular season. King's is 8-6 and seeded third with a 4-2 Freedom record.
Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students.
Misericordia won the regular season meeting, 19-15, a week ago. Top-seeded FDU-Florham will host Eastern in the other semifinal.
The Cougars are making their second straight Freedom post-season appearance and are led by a balanced scoring attack that features six players with at least 20 goals.
Senior
Melina Juliano, the school's all-time leading scorer, has a team-high 61 points (38g, 23a) while classmate
Brooke North has 48 points (46g, 2a).
Liz Mulvey has 30 goals while
Erin Baker and Allie Elmes have 24 goals each and
Olivia Garcia adds 21.
Juliano leads the team with 71 draw controls and 29 caused turnovers while Elmes is first with 71 groundballs and second with 26 caused turnovers.
Katie McLoughlin is 8-8 in net with a 12.28 goals against average.
The Monarchs are making their first post-season appearance since 2012.
Anastasia Araviakis leads the team in scoring with 64 points (49g, 15a) while Gabriella Morrocu adds 55 points (45g, 10a).
Kendra McCoy has 22 goals and Sarah Almony and Breanna Schurgot both have 14 goals.
Araviakis has a team-high 61 groundballs while Morrocu leads the team with 63 draw controls.
Victoria Zawacki is 6-3 in goal with an 11.78 goals against average.
Wednesday's winner will advance to Saturday's Freedom title game against the FDU-Florham/Eastern survivor.
