Box Score The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team fell to Eastern, 22-7, in the Freedom Conference championship game, Saturday.
Pat Kellish led the Cougars with four goals and an assist and
Chris Fleming added two goals and an assist.
Patrick Johnson made 14 saves in goal.
Eastern opened the scoring at 8:51 of the first quarter and Fleming answered for MU off an assist from
Andrew Reynolds just nine seconds later.
The Eagles scored six straight goals to take a 7-1 lead midway through the second period.
MU answered on three consecutive tallies by Kellish over a three-minute span to pull within 7-4 late in the second stanza.
After Kellish and
Lane Kocovsky scored to cut the deficit to 12-6 midway through the third quarter, Eastern used another 6-0 run to take an 18-6 lead early in the fourth period.

Eric Dittmeier and Fleming all had three ground balls for the Cougars while
Alec Kellish had a team-high three caused turnovers.
MU, 10-7, will await a potential ECAC Championships bid.
