Box Score The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team advanced to the ECAC Championship game with an 11-6 win over Arcadia, Saturday afternoon at Stockton University.
Lexee Willey led the Cougars with three goals and
Amy Roth added two goals and two assists.
Kaila Quinlivan had two goals, an assist, six draw controls and two ground balls and
Kate Raab and
Olivia Garcia both scored twice.
Bri Ladner had four draw controls and five ground balls and
Katie McLoughlin made four saves in goal.
Trailing 2-0 early in the game, the Cougars scored five straight goals over a 15-minute span to take a 5-2 lead.
Garcia, Raab, Quinlivan, Willey and Roth all scored to give the Cougars a three-goal lead with 4:01 left in the first half.
After an Arcadia goal, Quinlivan scored with less than a minute to play to give MU a 6-3 halftime lead.
Willey scored early in second half to make it 7-3 and Arcadia answered with two quick strikes to get within 7-5.
Willey made it 8-5 with 19:42 remaining and Arcadia scored its final goal nearly three minutes later.
Garcia, Raab, Roth scored in a five-minute span with less than 10 minutes to play to secure the win.
Misericordia improved to 14-4 and will face Marymount, a 9-8 winner over top-seeded Stockton, in the championship game, Sunday at 2:00 at Stockton.
