MU Football Hosting MAC-Centennial Bowl Saturday

The Misericordia University football team will continue its historical season when the Cougars host their first postseason game against Ursinus in the MAC Centennial Bowl Series, Saturday at 1:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for students with children under 6-years-old free.  In partnership with NCAA D-III and Special Olympics, 25% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics.  No passes will be accepted.
 
The Cougars finished 8-2 overall and tied for second place in the MAC at 7-1.
 
Ursinus ended the regular season on a three-game win streak to finish 7-3 overall and tied for third in the Centennial Conference at 6-3.
 
MU's junior quarterback Brady Williams was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year and was joined on the All-MAC first-team by offensive linemen Derek Hendershot and Leonard Watson.
 
Sam Gillison, Isaiah Williams and Garrett Murray all made the second-team while David Cromwell, Tyler Colonno, Nick Yeager and Chris Lynn earned honorable mention.
 
Veteran MU head coach Mark Ross was named MAC Coach of the Year
 
B. Williams was fourth in the MAC with 1,986 passing yards and 220 yards per game.  He led the league in completion percentage (63.1) and quarterback efficiency (172.5) and had a league-best 13 rushing touchdowns.
 
Hendershot, Watson and Colonno were part of an offensive line that helped produce a league-best 417.4 yards in total offense per game...  The Cougars were third in the MAC in rushing yards per game (181.6) and passing (235.8).
 
Gillison and I. Williams combined to create the most productive receiving duo in the MAC with Gillison leading the Cougars with 909 receiving yards and nine TD's.    I. Williams had a team-high 53 receptions and was second with 760 yards and seven touchdowns.
 
Murray was second on the team with 72 tackles while Yeager was fourth in the league with 89 tackles and was second with 53 solo tackles.
 
Cromwell was fourth in the league with 600 yards and 66.7 yards per game.  He was second on the team with five rushing touchdowns.
 
Lynn was third in the league in punting with 39.5 yards per kick.
 
For Ursinus, quarterback Thomas Garlick was third in the Centennial Conference with 240.7 yard passing per game and Samuel Ragland was second in rushing at 75.1 yards per game.
 
Garlick was second with 14 TD passes and Garland was second with 14 TD runs.
 
Ryan Loughlin was sixth in the CC with 63.4 yards receiving per game while Ragland was seventh with 55.
 
Jacob McCain was second in the league with 10.8 tackles per game and was first with 61 solo tackles.
 
The Bears were third in the CC in total offense with 418 yards per game and third in scoring with 27.5 points per game.
 
Mitchell Bradford led the team with five interceptions while Charles Anderson had a team-high 4.5 sacks.
