The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team will travel to Arcadia for a MAC Freedom semifinal game, Wednesday at 7:00.
The third-seeded Cougars advanced to the semifinals with a 28-13 win over Wilkes in the opening round while Arcadia, the second seed, beat King's, 20-6.
Misericordia dropped a tough a 16-15 overtime decision at Arcadia early in the regular season that saw the Knights rally from a six-goal deficit.
Wednesday's game features two of the top-three scoring teams in the MAC Freedom. The Cougars are second in the league with 234 goals while Arcadia is third with 194.Â
Misericordia leads the league in goals per game (19.5), assists per game (11.08), points per game (30.58), man-up goals per game (2.83) and man-up scoring percentage (51.5).
Patrick Luzzi is third in the league with 3.83 goals per game while Kyle Vandenberg (3.08) is fourth and Robert Wagner (2.67) is ninth.
Wagner leads the league with 3.00 assists per game while Luzzi and Nick Torzilli are fifth and sixth, respectively.
Torzilli, Carson Venis, Allen Thomas, David Giordano, Michael Kilgallon and Ryan Vandenberg are all ranked among the top 35 scorers in the MAC Freedom.
Spencer Sundeberg anchors the MU defense and is sixth in the league with 1.75 caused turnovers per game while Bryan DeGennaro is third in the league with a 10.67 goals against average.
Arcadia is led by Clo Muscara's 3.00 goals per game and Brian Albertson with 2.69 gpg.
Timmy Fyock has a 12.66 goals against average.
The Misericordia/Arcadia winner will advance to the MAC Freedom championship game against the Stevens/DeSales winner.
