MU Men's Lacrosse Set for MAC Freedom Title Game

The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team will travel to Stevens for the MAC Freedom Championship game, Saturday at 7:00.

The Cougars, 10-3, are making their fifth appearance in the MAC Freedom Championship game in the last six seasons.

Stevens is 12-2 and is the top seed in its first season in the MAC Freedom.  The Ducks defeated MU during the regular season, 18-10.

The title game features the top two scoring teams in the league with both squads averaging more than 19 goals per game.

Misericordia leads the league with 19.54 goals per game and has three of the top-eight scorers in the league.  The Cougars also lead the league in man-up scoring at 53.9%.

Patrick Luzzi is third with 3.85 goals per game and Kyle Vandenberg is fourth with 3.08 while Robert Wagner is eighth at 2.69.

Wagner leads the league with 2.92 assists per game and Luzzi (2.23) and Nick Torzilli (1.92) are fifth and sixth, respectively.  Michael Kilgallon is 10th with 1.46 assists per game.

Luzzi leads the league with 6.08 points per game and Wagner is third with 5.62.

Wagner is eighth in the league with 4.77 ground balls per game and Spencer Sundeberg is sixth with 1.77 caused turnovers per game.

Stevens averages 19.14 goals per game and has two of the league's top five scorers.

Ryan Gebhart is second in the league with 4.21 goas per game and Jack Savarese is fifth with 3.07. 

The game also features some of the top face-off men in the league.  Misericordia's Garrett Heidecker is fifth at 56.3% while Conner Park (74.2%) and Larry Park (66.4%) of Stevens are first and second, respectively.
