Nicole Hinkle has been named the head women's lacrosse coach at Misericordia University, Chuck Edkins, director of athletics, has announced.
 
She comes to Misericordia after three seasons as an assistant at Shippensburg University where she served as the defensive coordinator/goalkeeper coach.
 
"Nicole brings an extensive lacrosse background to our program," said Edkins.  "Her knowledge and passion will serve her well as we look to continue the winning tradition of our women's lacrosse team."
 
She is a graduate of Wingate (NC) University where she earned her degree in sport management.  She also served as a graduate assistant in sports information at Shippensburg.
 
In addition, she spent three seasons as goalie coach for the NEMS Lacrosse Club in Bel Air, MD.
 
As a student-athlete, she was a four-year letter winner at Wingate.  She spent three seasons as a goalie before earning South Atlantic League honorable mention as a defender as a senior.
