The 2022 Misericordia University baseball schedule is once again loaded with nationally competitive games with the Cougars set to play 15 of their 40 games against teams that have made the NCAA Tournament since 2018.

Opening day is set for February 19 with a doubleheader against ODAC front-runner Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA while MU will visit perennial NJAC power Kean the following weekend.

After a one-year hiatus, the Cougars will return to Port Charlotte, FL for the annual Snowbird Baseball Classic in early March.  The eight-game schedule includes games against top-ranked Marietta, Swarthmore, Baldwin Wallace and Heidelberg.  

Misericordia will open MAC Freedom play with a three-game series against Wilkes, March 18 while the annual rivalry series between the Cougars and DeSales is set for March 25-26.  MU has beaten DeSales in eight of the last 10 MAC Freedom championship games. The 2021 MAC Freedom championship rematch against Stevens is schedule for late April.  

Former Misericordia standout Kyle Lindsay returns to Dallas for the first time as a head coach when Delaware Valley visits Tambur Field, April 29.  Lindsay is first all-time on the Cougars hits list with 243 from 2013-2016. 

Swarthmore, Scranton, Susquehanna and two games against Keystone help round out a difficult non-conference slate.   All four teams have made an NCAA Regional appearance since 2018.  

The first round of the MAC Freedom Championships is set for May 6-7 with the championship series set for the following weekend.  All MAC Freedom tournament games will be played at the higher seed.
