Robert Wagner and
Carson Venis both reaching scoring milestones, the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team dropped a tough 14-8 decision to DeSales, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Wagner had a goal and three assists to set a new school single-season record with 84 points and Venis had two goals and two assists to over 100 points for his career.

Jared Pelliccione had two goals and an assist and Michael Kilgallon scored twice.

Locked in a defensive struggle in the early-going, DeSales scored five times over the final 5:40 of the first quarter to take a 5-0 lead.

Kilgallon got the Cougars on the board with a man-up goal early in the second quarter.

Venis fed Wagner with 7:52 left in the second quarter and scored just eight seconds later off a face-off win by
Garrett Heidecker to reached the 100-point plateau.

The Cougars scored three times late in the third period go give themselves a chance at 13-8, but were held scoreless in the fourth quarter.

MU will host Arcadia, Saturday.
