The sixth honoree in the Misericordia Top 100 Student-Athletes of the Century countdown is #95 Matt Carey.

Carey was a four-year letterman on the lacrosse team and was the first lacrosse player to be inducted into the Misericordia Athletics Hall of Fame. 

He was a two-time team MVP and was Misericordia's first all-conference and All-ECAC player. 

He was a four-time All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference honoree and was the 2006 Misericordia Wendy's Athlete of the Year.

Carey ranks eighth in school history with 188 career points and is third with 150 career goals.  He is fourth in school history with 2.54 goals per game.
