The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell to DeSales, 22-9, Saturday.

Alicia Pileggi led the Cougars with three goals while
Gianna Guensch added three points on two goals and an assist.

Kristen Travaglini scored twice and
Adison Harner and
Madison Hushon each added a goal.
Â
Misericordia was held scoreless for most of the first quarter until Pileggi found the back of the net on a free-position shot with just over two minutes remaining.

Trailing 3-1 with :05 left in the quarter, Â Travaglini connected with Guensch on the left wing, where she finished to cut the deficit to 3-2.

The Cougars carried that momentum into the second quarter as Harner tied the game just over a minute in, beating her defender and placing a shot into the bottom left corner.

Down 6-3, Guensch fed Pileggi on the right flank, and she stepped in and scored to make it 6-4 with seven minutes left in the half.

Travaglini then scored back-to-back goals and Pileggi added her third of the game, but Misericordia still trailed 9-7 at halftime.
DeSales pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Cougars 13-2 to secure the 22-9 win.
