The Misericordia University baseball team opened the season with a pair of tough losses at Shenandoah, 3-1, 3-0.

Nate Newman had two hits in the opener, including a solo homer.

Cody Hack absorbed the loss while scattered five hits over six innings.

Jamie Philippi had two hits in the nightcap and Mike D'Amara and Scott Huddle both had doubles.
