The Misericordia University men's soccer team rallied for a 2-1 win over Gettysburg, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Eric Kishbaugh and Dan Pinto both scored late goals for the Cougars and Bryce Houdeshel cleared a potential tying goal of his own goal line with less than 30 seconds remaining.

After giving up goal with just over a minute gone in the game, the Cougars finally knotted the score in the 77th minute.

Andy Bush served a ball from the right flank and Kishbaugh brought the ball down and beat a Gettysburg defender and the slotted the ball home.

Pinto added the game-winner less than five minutes later when he gathered a loose ball in front of the Bullets' net and one-timed it inside the right post.

The Cougars had a few good scoring chances earlier in the second half.

Nick Ferguson's shot from 35 yards on a re-start sailed just outside the right post at 61:51.

Gettysburg countered just two minutes later, but MU keeper Dan Fritz came off his line to break a two-on-one attack.

The Bullets nearly made it 2-0 at the 69:30 minute mark when Kyle Franks shot from the left side of the box caromed off the right post.

After the Cougars grabbed the lead, Bush nearly added an insurance goal, but Gettysburg keeper Connor Darrell made a diving stop.

MU, 2-0, will face Alvernia and Albright this weekend in Reading.
