The Misericordia University athletics department will present its 2019-20 Wendy's Athletes of the Year awards on May 7.

Leading up to the date, we will present an Athlete of the Month each day.

Michael Gawlik was the Wendy's Misericordia Male Athlete of the Month for November
Â
He is a mass communications and design major from Browns Mills, NJ and a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School.
Â
A sophomore running back, Gawlik led the football team with 310 yards rushing in four games during the month.
Â
He averaged 77.5 yards per game and scored a team-high six touchdowns and added 210 yards on 10 kick-off returns as the Cougars clinched a postseason berth.

He had 249 total yards and four touchdowns in the regular season finale at Alvernia.
Â
On the year, he Gawlik led the Cougars with 826 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
Â
He earned honorable mention All-MAC status after finishing third in the MAC in rushing TD's and fourth in rushing yardage.
Â
The Cougars finished fourth in the MAC and qualified for a MAC-Centennial Bowl game for the second straight season.
