Tugend was a four-year letterman in basketball and golf… He was a two-time team MVP in basketball and is the fourth-leading scorer in Misericordia history… He is second all-time in steals and ranks among the top five in points per game, free throws, field goals and three-pointers... He holds the school single-season record for steals… He was a two-time All-PAC selection and made the ECAC all-star team as a senior… Tugend led the PAC in scoring as a senior and finished 20th in the nation… He led the Cougars to their first PAC championship game appearance in 1998-99… He also earned All-PAC status in golf.
